Making a Claim

If the worst happens and you need to make a claim, we will endeavour to make the process as quick and easy as possible.

Windscreen Claims

These claims can usually be cleared over the phone provided your premium payments are up-to-date. We do not require a claim form for windscreens. Please call us on 0800-505-885 for approval of your windscreen claim. Our preferred Windscreen repairer / supplier is Novus (0800 10 35 35) who have outlets nationwide.


Accident Claims Process
  1. Lodge a claim form.
    This can be done by Downloading a Claim Form from our downloads page and sending it in to us either by faxing it to 09-525-8056, emailing it to claims@insuredirect.co.nz or by posting to us at PO Box 11-120, Ellerslie, Auckland 1542.
  2. Once your claim form has been recieved and processed, our Loss Adjuster will contact you in order to arrange an assessment of the damage to your vehicle. This can be carried out at the repairer of your choice.
  3. Once your claim has been cleared, the repairs can be started.
  4. Once repairs are complete, the repairer will invoice us for the work, less any excess that you may be required to pay.
Theft Claims Process
  1. Report any theft to the police as soon as possible. They will give you an Incident Acknowledgment Form.
  2. Complete a claim form, which you can download from our downloads page
  3. Forward the claim form and Incident Acknowledgment Form to us, by fax 09-525-8056, email claims@insuredirect.co.nz or by posting to us at PO Box 11-120, Ellerslie, Auckland 1542.
  4. Our Loss Adjusters and Investigators will liaise with you regarding the circumstances of the loss, and to determine the market value of the vehicle.
  5. Based upon these reports and once your claim has been cleared we will be able to settle the claim.
